Make sure you break the redstone contacts, and place new ones, that is the only way it will work. without this process when you click the elevator pulley it will say cannot assemble simply because it has no redstone contacts so make sure you place those contacts. Also you can power the elevator pulley however you want to. One more thing you can change the name of the floor of the elevator by clicking the redstone contacts then you can change the name of the floor. Now good luck.
