v2 of my Nether Wood/Shroomlight farm. Updates include automating excess bonemeal into bone blocks and several bug fixes. It requires a 64 RPM input and 1536 Su. Dimensions: 28 blocks in length, 13 blocks wide, 10 blocks tall. Requires open space above for the trees to grow (effective minimum height required is 17 blocks total).
Produces Crimson Stems, Warped Stems, Shroomlights and Bone Blocks
Bugs that were fixed:
Changed the orientation of the saw contraptions to prevent an issue where wart blocks could cause a hopper and funnel to be pushed into an incorrect position.
Added bonemeal overflow protection .
Added several signs for additional information.
Before starting the farm, you need to waterlog both sets of trapdoors. You also need to either pre-load it with 34 stacks of bone meal, or ensure all of the dispensers are kept stocked until it becomes self sufficient.
Mm, one issue I'm having is that the nylium that the trees grow on turn into regular netherrack randomly after a few uses.
Any idea how to resolve this? :x
Nylium will turn to netherack when a block is above it too long in the same way that grass turns to dirt. The only difference is that nylium won't spread back to netherack blocks by itself. It needs to be bonemealed.
You can either bonemeal the netherack yourself since there is another nylium block next to it, or you can ensure that the dispenser that fires into the block of netherack has some bone meal in it and it will automatically convert it to nylium for you. Once the farm is up and running, it will become self sufficient with bone meal, it just needs to build up in each of the dispensers.
You can either preload the system with 33 stacks of bone meal (the two side dispensers for the warped side and the 3 hoppers that feed them), or you can manually ensure those dispensers have bone meal in them. Once each dispenser and hopper fills up, the flow of bone meal from the farm will overflow into the next hopper/dispenser in the line until everything is full. Once it's full, the excess will be converted into bone blocks.
Basically just ensure that each dispenser has some bone meal in it. The dispensers that are at the back of each section that have the belts running through them don't need to be filled as they are just there to make the farm a little more efficient and will grab the bone meal as it passes through them
