Straight forward cheap bulk processing
Depending on what's placed in front of the fan determines what action is performed.

Items are only processed one layer per pass if a second layer of processing is needed it will have to be cycled again. i.e. cobble -> stone is one layer whereas a second layer would be from stone -> smooth stone.
