This is part of a set of builds I am referring to as the "Realistic scale" series.

This is a custom train bogie. This is a component that is used in some of the full builds that are a part of the Realistic scale series

I tried building some diesel locomotives to the scale of the stock Create 4-wheel bogie but in the end, the format is too small in scale to the player as well as very limiting the lvl of detail I want to give it due to block scale. So I took a step back and decided to start with building a bogie that is a scaled more appropriately to the player. To do this, I ended up using three create bogies in the 2 wheel variant (the "steam train drivers") then built a suspension frame around that to mask the "steam" bits and give it more of a modern truck look.

Due to the nature of Create trains. Even though its built to look like one truck, the two bogies are still glued as two separate entities. This will allow you to build the main train and have it look better on the rails when making turns. Depending on how you glue your build There is some Create train trickery. There are videos out there dedicated to showing you how to make a train car [that is limited to two bogies per car] look like it is riding on more than two bogies.
